Resources for Assisting High Students in College & Career Preparations.

Background: Arp ISD has partnered with, among others, higher education institutions, The Texas Work Force, and The National Clearinghouse to help East Texas better prepare students for their futures in both careers and postsecondary endeavors. Some of the expressed goals include:

• 1. Increase the number of certifications at the HS level

  2. Improve the K-Ready percentages

  3. Increase the number of postsecondary certifications

  4. Increase the number of high-pay careers

  5. Increase the % of students who attempt postsecondary education and who complete a degree

  6. Increase the number of postsecondary degrees

  7. Increase the number of students enrolling in postsecondary Texas higher ed institutions immediately after HS.
